Black Stars forward Abdul Majeed Waris says the team is gearing up for the upcoming double header international friendly games against Mexico and USA.

The Black Stars regrouped on Monday to put finishing touches to the squad ahead of their two upcoming international friendlies against Mexico and USA.

But reports went rife in camp that players such as Andre Ayew and his younger brother Jordan Ayew and Daniel Amartey will not travel with the team due to permission from their respective clubs while Thomas Partey and Afriyie Acquah absence is due to minor injuries.

And many have expressed their doubts about the competitiveness of the squad that will be embarking on the trip coupled with agitation of the team that Mexico will present in the game due to their participation in the FIFA Confederations Cup currently ongoing in Russia.

Nevertheless, Majeed Waris says the squad is ever ready for the two games and highlighted their importance.

"We are all ready and as you can see training has been very intense and all the players are giving hundred percent," he said

"Some people might feel this game is not important but for the team this is very important and we will attach all seriousness to it."

Ghana will depart from Accra to the United States tonight for the two games.
