Mahama Ayariga says the adviser must work with all the national teams

Black Stars in-coming technical adviser must work on all Ghana's national football sports, Ghana sports minister Mahama Ayariga has revealed.

The Black Stars are on the verge of getting a new technical adviser to help coach Kwesi Appiah as the Ghana FA seeks to boost the performance of the side after a shambolic showing at the 2014 World Cup.

The GFA has appointed a three-man committee to work with coach Kwesi Appiah to appoint a technical adviser to help boost the performance of the side.

Ex-Black Stars coach Milovan Rejevac from Seriba and Danish trainer Flemming Serritslev are the two selected with one to be named to take up the post.

Ghana's sports minister says the in-coming technical adviser must not only work for the Black Stars as all the national teams must benefit from the expatriate's experience.

“I want to see somebody who is very competent and capable. And my advice will be that this person should not just come and be the technical advisor to the coach and the Black Stars only. He should focus on all national teams," Ayariga said.

“This person should come and be the sort of a national technical advisor. So that he is supporting the coach of the Black Stars, but also supporting the coach of the Satellites and also supporting the coach of the Black Queens.

“He should be somebody who should support of the national team coaches, as they prepare for their various tournaments, So that his skills are not limited to impacting on the Black Stars only”.

This means the appointed national team adviser must work with the country's U17, U20, U23 and Local Black Stars squad apart from his duties with the senior national team.

It is not known if he will also work with the three women national teams.

Rajevac is the overwhelming favourite to be named for the position.
