Black Stars to begin camping on Monday

The Black Stars will begin camping in Accra next Monday ahead of their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi, Ghanasoccernet.com understands.

The 20-man squad invited by stop-gap coach Akwesi Appiah will train in the capital for three days before enplaning for Kumasi on Wednesday afternoon.

The team will  play a friendly against a yet-to-named lower division side at the Baba Yara Stadium, venue for the match, on Thursday to wrap up their preparations.

Three locally-based players will be joined by 17 Euro-based stars for the match fixed for the Baba Yara Stadium on 10 October.

Ghana last played Sudan at home on 5 September 2009 in Accra and recorded a 2-0 win during the 2010 combined Nations /World Cup qualifiers.

The World Cup quarter-finalists lead Group I after a 0-3 away win over Swaziland.
