The Ghana Football Association have confirmed the Black Stars will play an international friendly before taking on Mauritius in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

Ghana head coach Avram Grant would like to use the game to side's cohesiveness before they face Islanders in mid-June.

Black Stars Management  Committee Chairman George Afriyie has confirmed the reports.

Avram Grant is expected to name his squad for the qualifier against Mauritius after watching Ghana's Local Black Stars play at the COSAFA Invitational Tournament in South Africa.

Ghana have not won any of their last three games under Avram Grant and the Israeli gaffer would like to restore his side's winning mentality before they take on Mauritius in Ghana on June 13.

The opponent for the friendly is expected to be officially confirmed by the Ghana Football Association later this month.
