Black Stars to step-up preparations for Rwanda AFCON qualifier today

Ghana coach Avram Grant will today hold his second training session with his players at the Accra Sports stadium as they gear up for their game against Amavubi of Rwanda.

The 60-year-old Israeli had thirteen players for the first kick-out at the Accra Sports Stadium with debutantes Yaw Yeboah and Asante Kotoko’s most effective forward Dauda Mohammed getting a look in.

Italy-based Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is in town and will join his colleagues for this afternoon’s practice.

Ghana has already secured qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon next year but the team will be hoping to maintain their undefeated record at home.

Ghana beat Rwanda 1-0 in the first leg in Kigali thanks to a Mubarak Wakaso and will huge favourites for a huge victory on Saturday when they meet for the second leg.

A total of 23 players have been lined up for the assignment and most of the players are expected to be at the Accra-Sports this afternoon.
