Sassuolo coach Eusebio De Francesco has hailed Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom as the best in the Italian Serie-B.

The 19-year-old hit a brace against Reggina over the weekend to bring his season tally to six in the 12 games he has played so far.

Boakye-Yiadom is at Sassuolo on loan from Juventus as part of plans to mold the ex Genoa hitman into a full blooded professional.

And Francesco is counting on the Ghanaian who he believes is the best in the division to power his side into Serie-A before his loan stint expires.

“Boakye is the best in his age group in Italy right now, he hardly misses chances and that is the hallmark of a quality striker,” he said.

“He is the best player in the Serie B currently; hopefully he will take us to the Serie A before going back to Juventus.”

Boakye-Yiadom’s surge in form  is crucial as it comes at a time Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah is finalizing his provisional squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
