Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has revealed the club received no offers for Ghana winger Albert Adomah during the transfer window.

Adomah, 27, is understood to have clashed with his head coach before the international break and it looked at one stage as though he would leave the club during the final week of the transfer window.

But the Ghana international seems to have patched up with the Spanish coach after he returned to training this week.

And manager Aitor Karanka has revealed the Ghanaian received no offers despite interest from Queens Park Rangers.

“He didn’t leave and we didn’t receive one offer for him,” said the Spaniard.

“After the transfer market finished, he was our player and we had our reasons to train together again.

“The more people who are involved in the team, the stronger we are. That is good for me, and it is a problem to pick the best XI for every game.

“He could be in the squad because he is a player and I have to think.

“He has been good on the training field. Everyone knows how strong this group is, so when you are in the group, you have to work hard because everyone knows the rules.

“The players who are training well and performing well are the players who are going to play.”

Adomah is back in the plans of Karanka ahead of Saturday’s game against newly-promoted MK Dons.
