AshantiGold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo won the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee by-election on Thursday.

Fianoo polled 10 votes representing 62.5 percent of total votes cast ahead of Asante Kotoko's Kwame Baah-Nuakoh who had 4 votes (25 percent).

J.F Mensah of Ebusua Dwarfs finished in third place with two votes and a percentage of 12.5.

Fianoo missed out on one of the six tickets available for Premier League clubs on the Executive Committee at the last year's election.

The former Ghana League Clubs Association Administrative Manager's wealth of experience will be crucial for the body.

The position was made vacant following the death of Asante Kotoko board member Lawyer Owusu-Ansah.
