Kwesi Nyantakyi has been appointed by FIFA to lead its delegation to mediate in the football crisis in Sierra Leone that is threatening to cripple the game in the country.
The leader of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will lead the two-man FIFA delegation to meet the President of the West African country as they seek to find a solution to a stubborn impasse.
Nyantakyi, who will be accompanied by Primio Carvaro - head of FIFA Football Associations, will meet the country's federation led by Isha Johansen and the league clubs.
The stand-off has led to a confusion in the status of the league and its matches which is threatening the very foundations of football in Sierra Leone.
This led FIFA to send its delegation of experienced men to find a lasting solution.
He will travel to Sierra Leone on Thursday and hope to find a solution by Saturday night.

Previous FIFA-led mediation efforts in Kenya fell apart before Nyantakyi was called to restore unity.
