Ghana defender Gideon Baah has completed his move to American top-flight side New York Red Bulls, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old joined the Major League Soccer (MLS) club on Tuesday night from Finnish giants HJK Helsinki.

Ghana's leading football new outfit, GHANAsoccernet.com, exclusively revealed last week of the deal with New York Red Bulls after his proposed move to Barcelona collapsed at the last minute.

The Ghana international utility player arrived in New York over the weekend for a medical before signing with the Red Bulls.

Details of the deal were not disclosed, per club and league policy.

“Gideon has all the characteristics we were looking for in a central defender,” said Sporting Director Ali Curtis.

“He fits our style of play extremely well and we are anxious to have him get started with our club.”
