Ghana international goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi  has left French second tier side Sochaux after two years at the club, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old reached an agreement to leave the club on Thursday night after days of negotiations over his future.

Ati-Zigi has been the first choice goalkeeper for Sochaux over the past few months following the injury Maxence Prevot.

He has steered the club to the ninth position on the league table and has attracted interest from clubs across Europe because of his performances since he took over from Prevot in the autumn.

In preparation for the departure of the Ghanaian goalkeeper Sochaux have signed experienced shot stopper Mehdi Jeannin.

Ati Zigi arrived at Sochaux in 2017 and has played 23 league matches for the second tier side.
