Breaking News: Ghana line-up Saudi Arabia friendly next month ahead of Uganda qualifier

Published on: 26 September 2017

Ghana will play a friendly Saudi Arabia in an international friendly ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda next month.

The Black Stars will take on the Greens in a pre-World Cup qualifying friendly in Kenya, according to media reports.

Details are sketchy, but coach Kwesi Appiah will use the friendly as a dress rehearsal ahead of the must-win game against the Cranes in Kampala on October 7.

The four-time African champions have a slim chance of qualifying to the World Cup and will require nothing short of victory to maintain their faint hopes.

Coach Appiah appears to be in no mood after wielding the axe on brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew ahead of the qualifier against Uganda.

Ghana will travel to Kampala for the make-or-break tie against the Cranes who are desperate to win and put themselves back in contention for a place in Russia.
