Championship strugglers Barnsley have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong for an undisclosed fee.

The club announced on their website: "Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has signed for the Reds for an undisclosed fee.

"The 22-year-old has penned a permanent deal at Oakwell until 30th June, 2014.”

He has also had loan spells at Fulham, Charlton and Wolves in the last two years.

Several Premier League and Championship clubs are thought to have approached the Gunners about signing the 22-year-old in recent weeks.

Frimpong, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has now completed his move to the Tykes, which lasts six months.

He made his Ghana debut in the World Cup qualifier against Sudan in March 2013.

Wenger has left him out of the squad because he is not good enough. Wenger gave him a shot and although he showed glimpses of real potential, the majority of his game was rife with mistimed tackles and bad passes. I'ts not always a Ghana against the world thing bro

What some football lovers in UK, think about this move: 1. rob.cross82, West Midlands, United Kingdom: I always rated Frimpy when he was at Wolves, but he always seems more concerned with his off the field exploits than he does on the field. 2. Not being funny, but instead of doing all of this DENCH rubbish and generally constantly messing about, you had the opportunity to get a place at Arsenal but you were to busy messing about. So don't moan that you didnt put the work in and you are sent elsewhere.....you have potentially ruined your career before its even began because you have been too distracted with stupid things. Footballers that are successful show heart and desire and work hard, of which i have seen none of that from you Frimpong!! 3. Emmanuel sorry you never made the grade, good luck for the future. 4. Tom at Wiltshire wrote.. Priorities, check. 5. Domesplitter, BTown, United Kingdom...IF you had spend more time on your football than playing FIFA with youtube personalities and tweeting all day. You may have had a real chance at Arsenal, well down the list of failures you go. DENCH! 6. DazzaGooner, Worthing, United Kingdom: Frimpong always had the potential to be a great player sadly he is too focused on himself, social media and his stupid 'Dench' clothing line. 7. Boonstar81, london, United Kingdom, 20 minutes ago Yes. Mr Pong because the only reason you could ''draw'' girls was by saying ''I play for Arsenal, don't you know'' Silly little child.. Excellent move for six months. After the world cup you can take your time to find a more lucrative contract in a better club. Arsene Wenger has failed after all. His wickedness will cost him dearly.

IM SURE WENGER HAS DONE THIS TO PUNISH HIM FOR CHOOSING GHANA, IF AKWASI APPIAH STILL TAKES HIM TO WORLD CUP THEN THAT PLOT WOULD HAVE FAILED. I KNOW IT MIGHT NOT BE FAIR ON OTHER GHANAIAN PLAYERS BUT TO ME THERE ARE A LOT OF AVERAGE PLAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN HYPED BY THE MEDIA SO FRIMPONG SHOULD GIVE ALL HIS BEST EVEN IF ITS IN CHAMPIONSHIP

HMM NOT SURE IF THIS IS A GOOD MOVE. HOPEFULLY HE GETS MORE PLAYING TIME TO PROVE WENGER WRONG. EVERY PLAYER THAT LEAVES ARSENAL WINS TROPHIES EXCEPT FEW LIKE QUICY OWUSU ABEYIE. I HOPE ITS ALSO NOT TOO LATE FOR THESE TWO TO PUT THEIR CAREER BACK ON TRACK BCOS THEY ARE STILL YOUNG.

Well I think its a good move for both the player and Ghana as a whole.he is going to get more playing time and it will have a positive effect on his game.
