BREAKING NEWS: Ghana name four debutants for Canada friendly - Ofosu-Ayeh, Baah in 19-man squad
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is among the four new players in the Ghana national team

Ghana coach Avram Grant has named Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Gideon Baah among four debutants in his 19-man squad for Tuesday's international friendly against Canada in Washington, the Ghana FA has confirmed its roster for the game.

USA-based midfielder duo of Llyod Sam and Kwadwo Poku also get their first international call-ups after excelling in the American top-flight this season.

The Black Stars trainer named the quartet in the national team for the first time for the match to played in the American capital as the Black Stars prepare for next month's 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Germany-based defender Ofosu-Ayeh was named in the Black Stars squad for the time as well as Finland-based former Kotoko defender Gideon Baah as both players have excelled for their clubs this season.

Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan gets another chance to impress in the Black Stars after the Italy-based enforcer had a previous stint with the national team.

The squad is dominated by regular Black Stars players like goalkeeper Razak Brimah, John Boye and Leicester City left-back Jeff Schlupp.

Italy-based midfielders Emmnauel Agyemang-Badu and Afriyie Acquah as well as Mubarak Wakaso.

Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew and Abdul Majeed Waris and David Accam were also named by Avram Grant.

The Black Stars will take on Canada at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC.

The match will kick off on Tuesday at 7:30pm local time in Washington DC.
