Ghanaian prodigy Godfred Donsah has been handed a starting role by Hellas Verona as they play at Atalanta in Saturday’s Serie A match, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.  Â 

Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini, who is a huge fan of the 17-year-old, has decided to reward the hardworking midfielder for his worth rate in training.

He has been an unused substitute in six Serie A matches since January this year.

Donsah, is a promising defensive midfielder, who joined the newly-promoted side in 2013.

Hellas Verona beat competition to from Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Manchester United for the Sunyani-born wonder kid.

He was scouted by Oliver Arthur’s ArthurLegacy Sports and sent to Italy at age 15 for a development programme.
