Breaking News: Inkoom completes Dnipro switch

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has signed a four-year deal with nouveau-riche Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk from Swiss side FC Basel, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Inkoom cost the Eastern-European side US$ 7 million while his wages will triple from what he currently earns.

The right-back becomes the club's second big signing in less than a week after announcing the capture of 20-year-old midfielder Giuliano from Brazilian side Internacional.

"I know this club is an important in Ukraine because last season they finished fourth on the league table. This club is improving and I hope my contributions will make us title contenders in the upcoming season," Inkoom told GHANAsoccernet.com

"We have a good coach and he will decide where I will play. Whether it's midfield or defence, I ready to respect his (Jaunde Ramos) instructions."

Inkoom, 21, has previously garnered the interest of Spanish giants Barcelona.

He played for Ghana at the World Cup and his stock has risen since then.

Arguably the clubs first shock acquisition came with their manager, former Tottenham and Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos, when he agreed to a four-year contract with the club last October.
