Medeama interim coach Augustine Evans Adotey has named a strong attacking starting X1 ahead of Wednesday’s make-or-bust affair against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Confederation Cup final play-off tie with star midfielder Kwesi Donsu dropping to the bench.

The experienced trainer has opted for youngster Enoch Attah Agyei, who is expected to provide some flair in the heart of park alongside Eric Kwakwa.

Striker Benard Ofori gets the chance to start in the absence of suspended Samuel Bio and will partner Abass Mohammed in a strongly attacking-minded set-up.

Goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe maintains his number spot with usual suspect Samuel Adade, Moses Sarpong, Daniel Amoah and Paul Aidoo forming the back four.

Influential deputy captain Malik Akowuah sits in front of the back-four to provide cover with Eric Kwakwa and Enoch Attah Agyei operating from the midfield.

Kwame Boahene is expected to cause massive headache for the South African defense on the wings with duo Bernard Ofori and Abass Mohammed spearheading the front-line.

The starting X1 clearly depicts a side on a mission to attack as they would require at least two unanswered goals to progress to the group stage of the competition.

Medeama trail 3-1 from the first leg after shipping in an astonishing three goals in seven minutes.

But the Ghanaians have vowed to make amends at the Sekondi stadium.

The Mauve and Yellows remain Ghana’s sole representative in Africa inter-club competition this year.
