According to Sportitalia, Villarreal have just submitted Sampdoria a €14/£11.8m offer, in order to sign Italian international midfielder Roberto Soriano (25).
The player, also tracked by Fiorentina, Inter, AC Milan, Napoli, Torino, Schalke 04 and Southampton, has already accepted Spanish club's proposal, and is aiming to have his annual salary raised to about €2/£1.7m. Soriano is currently on a deal with Blucerchiati until June 2020.
