Seidu Bansey will lead the attack alongside Yahaya Moahmmed.

Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has opted to start club-mates Yahaya Mohammed and Seidu Bansey in attack for their CHAN quarter-final clash against DR Congo on Sunday night, has reported.

The duo have been in top form for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League this season and both have 11 goals between them.

Bansey was top scorer after the first round of the season with seven goals and Yahaya has scored four.

He has stepped in for Sulley Mohammed, who failed to recover from a leg injury.

Abeiku Ainooson has also been handed a starting role as right-back with Godfred Saka failing to recover from injury.

Winger Theophilus Anobaah has returned to the starting line-up after climbing off the bench in their final Group C match against Ethiopia.

The Medeama SC playmaker will be operating from the left and Richard Mpong will maintain his position on the right flank.

Konadu has stuck to his midfield pair of Michael Akuffo and captain Jordan Opoku.

The Local Black Stars are seeking to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Leopards in the final of maiden tournament played in Ivory Coast five years ago.

Ghana's starting line-up: Stephen Adams- Kwabena Adusei, Nuru Sulley, Joshua Tijani,Abeiku Ainooson-Michael Akuffo, Jordan Opoku, Richard Mpong, Theophilus Anobaah-Yahaya Mohammed, Siedu Bansey.

Don't go 4 revenge but just play to win. In that tornament also (2009 chan), Zambia had beaten the hosts 3 nil in an opening game cortesy of a hatrick from Given Singuluma. Vegeance is not good coz ghana came in Ndola with it but after failing, they broke an expensive ZNBC camera and painted LM Stadiam dressing room with feaces. Go BS GO!, GO LEOPARDS GO! May the best team win AMEN!!!
