With less than an hour to the kickoff of the clash between New Edubiase United and Heart of Lions in the penultimate matches in the First Capital Premier League, reports from Obuasi indicates that the referees for the game have been changed.

Wa based referee Seidu Bomison and his two assistants, Badiu Alhassan and Abu Williams were slated for the clash but it has been confirmed that Heart of Lions protested against the trio and proposed FIFA referee Joseph Lamptey which was also rejected by the home side.

the two finally agreed to accept Cape Coast based referees Fred Andoh, Kennedy Bentil and Micheal Annan for the clash.

New Edubiase need nothing but a win to secure a survival for next season's premier league while Lions need just a draw to stay in the league.
