Interim head coach Florian Kohfeld has no fresh injury worries ahead of his first home game in charge of the Green-Whites. The 35-year-old, who replaced Alexander Nouri in the Weser Stadium hot seat last month, is likely to field the same XI that started the 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 11 - Werder's sixth league loss of the campaign. USA international Aron Johannsson is pushing for a place in the squad after impressing as a substitute in a recent friendly with Heerenveen.

Hannover's Togolese attacker Ihlas Bebou has been struggling with a thigh injury, but should recover in time for Sunday's clash, while Martin Harnik could return to the starting line-up after shaking off a bug. Goalkeeper Philipp Tschauner and defender Oliver Sorg and are also expected to be available after recovering from respective back and shoulder injuries, but centre-back Waldemar Anton is struggling with a knee injured sustained on Germany Under-21 duty.

Werder Bremen have not won in 14 Bundesliga games (dating back to last season). That's a new club low.The Green-Whites' last Bundesliga win came on 29 April (2-0 against Hertha Berlin). That was 204 days ago.Bremen have only scored four goals this season - no side has ever scored fewer goals in the opening 11 games of a Bundesliga campaign.Werder have not scored at home for three consecutive games; not scoring in four games in a row at home would be a new club low. After going the first 16 competitive games unbeaten under Andre Breitenreiter, Hannover have now lost four of the last six games.Bremen brothers Maximilian and Johannes Eggestein were both born in Hannover, but have never turned out for the 96ers at any stage of their young careers. If both Eggesteins and Lamine (Werder) and Salif Sane (Hannover) are all involved at the same stage, there will be two sets of brothers on the field.Salif Sane scored the only goal of the same in Hannover's only win against Bremen in the last seven fixtures (at home on 3 October 2015).His brother, Lamine, scored Werder's only goal on home turf this season (16 September, 2-1 defeat to Schalke).
