Bristol City have released Tammy Abraham back to parent club Chelsea.

The 19-year-old, who has scored 21 goals in 38 appearances for the Sky Bet Championship side this term, sustained a thigh injury in the defeat at Leeds last Tuesday.

Abraham had immediately returned to the Blues for scans and City boss Lee Johnson has confirmed that is where he will remain for the immediate future.

"He'll be out for two or three weeks," Johnson said.

"Chelsea are taking care of Tammy at the moment. We'll get him back here in a week to ten days."
