Burnley consider move for Ghana and Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris

English side Burnley are considering a move for Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris.

The Clarets are weighing up an offer for the Ghanaian after being rebuffed over moves for Chris Wood and Sam Clucas.

Multiple reports in England claim the Ghanaian is on the wish-list of manager Sean Dyche.

Waris, who is also being tracked by Bursaspor and Besiktas, scored nine goals last season but was unable to keep Lorient afloat following their relegation.

The French side are reportedly holding out for £10million but Burnley are ready to pay £8m for the 25-year-old.

The Ghana international returned to training last week after a month-absence.
