Head coach of Bekwai Youth Football Academy, Abdul Rahman Yakubu, has showered praises on the medical team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for their timely support during the MTN FA Cup clash at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai on Sunday.

A head-on collision between BYF Academy skipper Alfred Osei and their goalie Evans Abekah left the two seriously injured, bringing the game to an abrupt end for close to ten minutes.

The Kotoko medical teams swiftly stepped forward, treated the two players and restored their states to normalcy.

Members of the medical team on duty, Andrew Owusu Amankwaa and Gabriel Ofori Adjei provided medical care for the two who were seriously injured with serious cuts on the head and the gesture has attracted the massive applauds from the head coach of the home team.

"I must commend the medical team of Kotoko for their high sense of professionalism and responsibility. I can't describe what would have happened if they were not around.

"When the two collided, we were all scared, feeling something dangerous had happened. Yes it was dangerous but the presence of the Kotoko medical team made it a simple issue. We are very grateful," Abdul Rahman said.

The soft spoken coach called on the medical team to keep it up and expect the blessings of the creator in all their endeavours.

"Allah will surely not deny them His blessings. They did what deserves commendation and am hugely impressed," he added.

Coach Abdul Rahman's commendation is one of the numerous positive remarks the highly-rated Kotoko medical team has received in recent years.
