CAF chief Hayatou hails Nyantakyi re-election, confident of Ghana football progress
Hayatou is confident Nyantakyi will steer Ghana to greater heights

CAF President, Issa Hayatou, says Kwesi Nyantakyi's 'knowledge, experience and leadership' will help Ghana football to greater heights after the latter was re-elected as the federation president.

Hayatou sent the congratulatory message Nyantakyi on his recent re election as the president of the Ghana Football Association.

Nyantakyi was last week re-elected for a third term in office after the GFA's Congress, in accordance with the Association's statutes, returned him to the seat unopposed.

Hayatou led the congratulatory messages from the leadership of African football to welcome Nyantakyi's re-election saying his experience will help the Ghanaian federation.

"On behalf of the CAF Executive Committee and the entire football family, I would like to warmly congratulate you for your re-election as President of the Ghana Football Association following elections held during your General Assembly on August 18th 2015 in Tamale," Hayatou wrote in a letter to Nyantakyi.

"We would like to wish you good luck for your tenure, hoping you will achieve maximum success, while ensuring that we will maintain the exemplary relationship between CAF and GFA."

"We are convinced that your knowledge, experience and leadershio will allow your federation and its Executive Committee to move forward and take football in Ghanaian football to further heights of professionalism and performance," Hayatou added in his letter.

Nyantakyi is a member of the CAF Executive Committee.
