Harrison Afful and his Esperance side suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat in Suez against Al Ahly in their opening CAF Confederation Cup Group B clash.

The Ghana defender played the entire duration which could be his final match for the Blood and Gold.

Afful’s contract expires on Tuesday, 30 June, 2015 and it does not look like he will be signing a renewal.

Ahly grabbed the goals through Abdallah El-Saed, who bagged a brace on 20 and 57 minutes.

Moemen Zakareya completed the rout with a 90th minute goal.

Esperance dumped Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak out of the competition at the ultimate preliminary qualifying stage.
