Cagliari have ruled out selling talented Ghanaian youth midfielder Godfred Donsah.

Donsah,19, has been a matter of intense speculation in the media after an exhilarating season with the Italian side last season.

President of the relegated Italian side has held separate talks with Juventus and Chelsea over the sale of the highly-rated Ghana youth international.

But club president Tommaso Guilini has revealed the youngster will stay put at the club to continue with his development.

“We discussed him with Chelsea a few weeks ago but I am stunned by all these rumours about him,” he said.

“The player needs to grow here, with us.”

The 19-year-old had also been linked with moves to English clubs Tottenham and Arsenal before as well as Serie A teams Juventus and Bologna.

Donsah joined Cagliari in 2014 from Palermo and has scored twice in 23 games for the Rossoblu.
