Cameroon U20 coach disappointed over poor quality Ghana team

Cameroon coach Martin Ndtoungou believes the Ghanain team participating in this year's African Youth Championship were a poor imitation of the all African and world champions of 2009.

He told SuperSport.com that “I was disappointed by Ghana. I was in Rwanda two years ago.

The Ghana team was a very good team not just because they won but also because of the way they played.

“They could keep the ball for long periods, often stringing 12-16 passes each time they had the ball.”

“The south African team maybe could have done better if they knew they would be playing in this tournament.

He took time to analyze the remaining teams.

"Mali looks very strong and from what I can see, their players are very experienced.

The Nigerian team can do better. They have talent and I think the first semifinals between Nigeria and Mali will be a very difficult game.”
