Cameroon win over Nigeria leaves Ghana in danger at U20

Cameroon defeated Nigeria 1-0 to keep alive their hopes of reaching the semi-final of the Africa Youth Championship in South Africa on Wednesday.

The result means Ghana must win their two remaining matches against Gambia and Cameroon to have keep strong chances of advancing to the group stage of the tournament.

The result means Cameroon have six points, Nigeria two point, Ghana and Gambia have got no points.

Franck Ohandza scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time in Johannesburg.

The Baby Lions dominated the game but Nigerian fluffed some good scoring opportunities in the Group B.

The result has left the group delicately poised as Cameroon can advance if other results go their way.

The Flying Eagles must beat Gambia in their last group game on Sunday to have strong chances of advancing.

Cameroon will play Ghana in their last group game on Sunday.

Ghana take on Gambia in Thursday’s other Group B game.
