Carlos Roberto Paullete hails Medeama's fighting spirit against Hearts

Medeama coach Carlos Robert Paullete hailed his side’s character and quality as they overcame Hearts in an outstanding First Capital Plus Premier League match on Wednesday.

Medeama came from behind to peg back their Premier League opponents at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.

“Hearts made it very difficult for us and were sharper than us in the first half. They had a great spirit,” he told the club's official website.

“We came back strongly and fought hard in the second half. In the end we had a little bit of extra quality to get us through.

"We did our job, but needed to fight until the end."

Emmanuel Hayford scored a spectacular opener in the 20th minute before Godbless Asamoah pulled off a faboulous volley to make it 1-1 to end the first session.

With six minutes left to play striker Kabiru Moro scored the match winner with a controversial header.
