Carlos Roberto Paullete has warned his Medeama players to guard against complacency ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup reverse fixture against Panthers FC.

The Mauve and Yellows are being showered with plaudits after beating the Equitorial Guinean side 2-1 away from home in the first leg last Sunday.

They have almost guaranteed their place in the next phase of the qualifiers and will need to ensure the scoreline stay the same way or improve it during the return fixture at the Essipong stadium this Sunday.

However, amid all the excitement over the current form, their Peruvian trainer has warned his players to stay grounded and not lose sight of the intended target.

"We are in a very good moment, but we are just at the start of the campaign," Paullete told the club's official website.

"We are just preparing the show now, it's very important to have a good finish to the campaign.

"We have the second leg to play and so we must be cautious and not get carried away. So it's very important to understand we must continue in the same way."

The Tarkwa-based side will move their training session into full gear at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park on Wednesday afternoon.
