This was option was embedded in the contract between Celtic and Kazan for the loan deal for the Ghanaian international midfielder.

The Ghanaian winger will spend the season with the Scottish champions from Russian outfit Rubin Kazan, with Celtic holding the option to buy the player following his loan spell.

Mubarak started his career in Spain with Elche before moving to Villarreal for the 2010/11 season.

After one campaign playing in the Spanish second tier, the midfielder was promoted to the club's first-team squad before leaving for Espanyol in 2012.

The 24-year-old arrived in Russia but found opportunities limited, making just 14 league appearances in his debut season.

He becomes Celtic's fourth summer loan signing following similar deals for Jason Denayer, Jo Inge Berget and Aleksandar Tonev.
