Chelsea chairman Buck meets with Chinese group

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has reportedly met with one of China's richest companies.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the HNA Group - a Fortuna Global 500 company - have spoken with Buck on two occasions, most recently at their FA Cup clash with Peterborough United at Stamford Bridge.

It is not clear exactly what Buck and HNA have spoken about but the report indicates that Chelsea have 'grand plans which could benefit from outside financial support'.

Chelsea was recently given the green light to commence work on the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, which expected to cost around £500million, and could be the reasons why talks are ongoing with the Far East conglomerate.

It is unlikely that Roman Abramovich is looking to sell but HNA are believed to be serious about purchasing a Premier League team.

This, perhaps, may be their way in to a future investment.
