Chelsea coach admits pressure for title

Coach Steve Pollack admits his Berekum Chelsea side are under pressure to defend the Ghana Premier League title. Â

Chelsea won their third silverware by beating Medeama SC in the novelty GHALCA G8 tournament at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.

They could win a fourth title on Sunday against FA Cup winners Nania FC in the Ghana Super Cup.

Pollack says their winning form could put pressure on his charges when the league begins on 9 October.

"Judging from what we have achieved over the past year, there is always pressure on us to deliver and the upcoming season won't be different,'' the ex-King Faisal boss said.

"I am happy for the players, management and the fans for the victory and what we have done, there is more to come from us.

"We're in a different cloud now and so every team that play us will come tough on us."

The Premier League kick-starts in two weeks time and the champions begin their title defence against Mighty Jets in Accra.
