Published on: 02 April 2016

Antonio Conte, the Italy coach who is expected to be confirmed as Chelsea new manager before the end of this month, has targeted the two players as key parts of the new team he intends to build.

Belgian Nainggolan, 27, who this week denied that he has already opened talks with Chelsea, and is also a target for Liverpool. But as Express Sport revealed last month, he is the man that Conte wants in the centre of his new midfield.

Greek centre-back Manolas, 24, is the player Conte wants to shore up the centre of Chelsea's defence, though he is also being chased by Everton.
