If Chelsea can win all of their games between now and then, and things below them go to plan, they could quite possibly go into the away clash with United on 81 points - 18 clear of the predicted second-place team who would be on 63.
That would mean they are six wins ahead of the pace with only five matches remaining.
The way Chelsea have been performing under Conte of late indicates that they are well on their way to claiming a second league title in three years well before the campaign is culminated and the opportunity to do it at the home of their rivals, in front of their former boss, adds even extra incentive.
