Chelsea interested in Juventus defender

Premier League side Chelsea will reportedly target Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci during the next transfer window.

The Blues are currently screening several candidates to fill the position that would be left open should captain John Terry should leave the squad in the summer as is expected with the club refusing to renew his contract.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the next potential Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is keen on Bonucci, who was one of his key men during his spell at Juventus.

The 29-year-old central defender is currently valued at around €30 million.

Nonetheless, Chelsea will have to face Premier League rivals Manchester City to sign the Bianconeri centre-back, as the Sky Blues’ future coach, Pep Guardiola, is also targeting Bonucci.

The Juventus defender has accumulated 27 Serie A appearances during the current season, scoring two goals.
