Chelsea keeper Courtois: Spurs will be desperate for Man City to beat us

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says they know Tottenham will be hoping Manchester City beat them this week.

Chelsea suffered only their fourth league defeat of the season on Saturday after London rivals Crystal Palace came from behind to beat the Blues 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

With Spurs winning 2-0 at Burnley, Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League table has been cut to seven points.

Antonio Conte's side now host league rivals Manchester City - whose 2-2 draw away to Arsenal on Sunday means they trail Chelsea by 11 points - on Wednesday night.

"It's important to win on Wednesday" the Belgian told Chelsea's official website.

"Spurs will be hoping we lose again so they can close the gap to four points, but we will start working again.

"We know what we are doing, we don't need to think about losing again, we just need to focus and try to win the game on Wednesday."
