According to Juventus’ general manager Giuseppe Marotta, Massimiliano Allegri will not join Chelsea as manager in the summer. Allegri took over as manager in Turin in the summer of 2014 and completed a league and cup double as well as guiding Juve to a Champions League final. With Chelsea’s interim manager Guus Hiddink set to leave at the end of the season Allegri was tipped to be the man to takeover. With Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich stating he is a target for the club. However, Marotta told Italian TV:

“I’m convinced that we’ll go forward with Allegri for many years,”

“When things go well a coach’s value goes up.

“Juve is a point of arrival for a coach, one of the world’s biggest clubs.

“It’s not easy to find a bigger team than Juventus, unless you consider it the end of a cycle. And the winning cycle can continue.”
