Black Stars team doctor Baba Adamu has allayed fears over Baba Rahman’s automobile accident – insisting the Augsburg star sustained no major injuries.

The 20-year-old was ordered to make an immediate return to Germany on Sunday night after his involvement in a vehicular accident.

Rahman had his faced heavily strapped in bandage as he made his way through the Kotoko International Airport to board his flight back to Germany for further treatment.

His appearance aroused fears he suffered major injuries but Black Stars team doctor Baba Adamu who examined the full-back before his return to Germany insists the injuries sustained by the defender are not worrying.

“He only had an airbag in his face and nothing more,” Dr. Adamu told AfricanFootball.com

“He only had a cut on his eyelid after the accident.

“In fact we wanted to treat him here but his club insisted on his return.

“He was supposed to leave today [Wednesday] anyway but they wanted him back immediately.”

This comes as a massive relief to Ghanaian fans who feared the rising defender might have sustained major injuries.

Rahman has been a subject of intense transfer talks with English giants Chelsea reportedly in the lead to secure his services this summer.
