Berekum Chelsea winger Solomon Asante has fixed his sights beyond the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The pocket-size wing-man has been named in Ghana's provisional 26-man squad for January's showdown.

Asante who is being courted by English Premier League side Stoke City and African giants TP Mazembe says the Nations Cup will afford him the opportunity to look into the future.

"I have to firstly work to seal my place in the final 23-man squad then I can look at what the future presents," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"The World Cup is coming up in 2014 so I have to keep working harder and harder and to be in sight for the future.''

Asante has been impressive in the Ghanaian Premier League for Berekum Chelsea winning four MVP awards.
