Ghana international Chris Dickson has left Charlton Athletic and moved to Cyprus, according to Skysports.

Dickson, who is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at The Valley, has agreed a move to Nea Salamis Famagusta.

The 25-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at the Cypriot second division side and is set to travel out to Cyprus at the start of August.

Nea Salamis Famagusta suffered relegation from the first division last season and they see Dickson as the man to fire them back to the top flight at the first time of asking.

Dickson is relishing the chance of plying his trade abroad after an indifferent time at Charlton.

"I am excited about this new challenge of playing abroad," Dickson told skysports.com.

"I am happy with the move and I am hoping to help Nea Salamis win promotion back to the top flight."
