Ghana winger Christian Atsu is in line to return for Malaga after missing their last two games due to a thigh injury.

The Ghanaian has featured only 45 minutes since joining Malaga in the January transfer window.

In the space of that 45 minutes Atsu scored and looked very lively on the pitch sparking hopes that his struggles with Everton and later Bournemouth was behind him.

But the 24-year-old was dealt a huge blow after scans revealed he would be out of action for 14 days immediately after the game against Getafe.

He is now back in training and looked sharp ahead of this weekend’s clash against Real Sociedad.

Atsu’s return will be a boost to Ghana’s coach Avram Grant who will be desperate to have his best player from the Africa cup of nations back for the 2017 AFCON qualifier game against Mozambique next month.
