Legend Wilberforce Mfum insists Kotoko are not a finished product yet, insisting friendly games cannot be used as measure of the team's favourites tag.

The Porcupine Warriors have been hugely tagged as the overwhelming favourites to reclaim their Premier League crown following a fabolous run in pre-season.

The Ghanaian title record-holders won the G6 Cup as well as the SWAG Cup to heighten expectations ahead of the new season.

But club and Ghana legend Wilberforce Mfum insists the club is far from being a finished product.

‘’You cannot use the pre-season matches to say that Kotoko is in the best of shapes unless we start the league and play about five matches, because you may not be able to predict whether you will get the same effort used  in the friendly games. So, for me I will wait till the league commences,’’ he told Kumasi-based Boss FM.

‘’Goal scoring in even a problem for all the clubs playing in the league,so if we start and the club is able to record huge score lines, it is then that we can draw conclusion that Kotoko is a finished product, so I disagree with those using the friendly games as a barometer to assess the team.’’

Kotoko open their Premier League campaign with a tricky tie at WAFA on February 21.
