Medeama SC boss Bashir Hayford has launched an astonishing attack on his players for reporting late from the break.

The players reported to training on 3 January, just five days before their Premier League game against New Edubiase.

Edubiase posted a hard fought 1-0 win over Medeama on Sunday and the ex-Asante Kotoko boss claims his players should take the blame for their defeat on the return of the Ghana Premier League.

''We can't have such indiscipline cropping up in the team. They (players) were supposed to return from the break earlier but opted to come at their own time,'' Hayford said

''They came with just five or so days for this much and this is the result. I think management will deal with the aspect of indiscipline and sanction them appropriately.

''You can’t win the league or make any meaningful impact with such attitude.''

The victory has seen the Bekwai-based side move to the fourth spot on the league table.
