Coach David Duncan says he probably made the most difficult decision in his career to join Hearts of Oak.
The former AshantiGold trainer last week signed a three year deal to lead the Phobians as the substantive replacement for CK Akunnor who was sacked after a string of poor results.
Duncan made an impressive debut by leading an under par Hearts team to secure a vital point away to Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
He however reveals it was a tough decision to accept the job with the Accra-based side considering the recent problems in the club.
ââ¬ÅIt was a very difficult decision (to join Hearts),â⬠he told Obuasi-based Time FM.
ââ¬ÅIt was difficult because the season has started, I didnââ¬â¢t preside over recruitment and there were some challenges in the club.
ââ¬ÅThe problems with the takeover, the series of resignations and it appeared it was a house that was divided with so many factions so it was a difficult decision.ââ¬
Duncan will be in the dugout for his second game in charge of Hearts for the visit of Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
