Columbus Crew right-back Harrison Afful has urged his team-mates to keep working as they bid to end their three-game winless streak in the Major League Soccer.

The Crews started the league campaign brightly after picking 10 points in their first four games.

But the last three matches has not been the best for Coach Gregg Belhalter's side following losses to Vancouver Whitecaps, Chicago Fire and DC United.

Ahead of the side's Saturday's clash against New England Revolution, Ghana defender Afful has implored his team-mates to put an end to their trio of defeat at the Gillette Stadium.

"It's tough but we will keep working, we have to put this behind us," the Ghana international told his club's official website.

"We are professionals and we need to get better."

"I think we are ready to go. Losing three on a go is really bad, but we have to be mentally and physically strong to be able to compete in the next game. That is what we are doing. "

"We have to keep working hard every day."

"We just have to be ready and determined and remain focused. We have to stick with the game plan and make sure we take our chances and I believe with that we will be fine."

Afful, who is in his fourth year with the club, has been a key part of the Black and Gold's set-up this season, having started and lasted for the entire duration of all seven games played thus far.

Crew currently sit 4th on the league log.
