Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has insisted Comoros came into Tuesday's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier to frustrate the Black Stars.

The Black Stars had to sweat for a 2-0 win over the Islanders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with a strike in each half from Las Palmas winger Wakaso Mubarak and Aston Villa's Jordan Ayew.

Comoros were hoping to cause a major upset in Kumasi on Tuesday after holding the 2010 quarter-finalist to a 0-0 stalemate in the first-leg in Moroni last Friday.

But the Black Stars resisted on a rainy afternoon in Kumasi to emerge with a hard-fought win.

And Badu insists the Islanders purposely came into the game to frustrate the Black Stars.

"They came here to frustrate us, we had other ideas for them and that propelled us to victory," the Udinese said in a post-match interview.

Ghana have joined a list of 20 countries who have progressed to the next stage to vie for the five (5) tickets available for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
