Here is a lowdown on how other Ghanaian players fared abroad.

SPAIN

Osasuna won the battle of the bottom clubs by beating Espanyol 3-0 at their own backyard.

Midfielder Anthony Annan sat on the bench for the winning team and Mubarak Wakaso was suspended from the Espanyol team.

Annan sat on the Osasuna bench but Wakaso was suspended for the game.

Michael Essien lasted the entire duration of the game for Real Madrid as they posted a 2-1 win over Levante.

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was out of the Udinese team while Isaac Coffie sat on the Chievo bench.
