Confederation Cup: Medeama hold rigorous training session ahead of Sundowns clash

Medeama held an intensive training session on Friday evening ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off tie against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Coach Tom Strand supervise the one and half hour training session at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

The close door training was hugely intensive with Tom Strand trying out several strategies.

It appears the Swedish trainer will opt for a defensive approach with Malik Akowuah and Eric Kwakwa expected to be the key cog in  midfield.

Ghana FA technical chief Francis Oti Akenteng watched on as the team trained under the cold weather in Pretoria.

The players are in buoyant mood ahead of perhaps the biggest game of their campaign so far.

The chips have fallen with the stakes extremely high for the two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders.

The game takes place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium at 18:00 GMT (4pm Ghana time).
